Actually, neither has announced movie rentals. There are, however, reports that a deal has been made.

  2. Chris Walters says:

@ptkdude: I’ve adjusted the phrasing so that it’s now accurate. Thanks for catching that.

  3. STrRedWolf says:

If there is an annoucement, it will be by Steve Jobs during the Macworld Expo Keynote.

  4. Wormfather says:

@STrRedWolf: Moron, if there is an announcement it’ll be after the speach is finished and as Jobs is walking off the stage he’ll say “oh, and one more thing”

  5. Benjo says:

Very cool. Paying $14.99 for a movie I’ll watch once on my iPod just kind of stinks.

  6. UpsetPanda says:

Why do people associate movie downloads from iTunes with the iPod? I mean, yes you can watch it on your iPod, but most people who don’t want to go out to rent a movie and who haven’t jumped on the Netflix bandwagon might just want to stay home and rent a movie on iTunes and watch it on the computer. *shrug* doesn’t mean portability.

And it’d be ridiculous if they really thought anyone would do it for more than $3 per movie.
