hello! I have a Home Equity Line of Credit that I pay back faithfully each month. A few months back, my statement indicated the bank had not received the prior month’s check. It turned out, the bank had transposed the account that was credited, and thus credited someone else’s account! After my bringing this to their attention, they DID credit my account, but not on the date the check was received, but on the date the credit was issued, a full 30 days after they had received my check! I’ve written to the back twice and received no reply. Where do I go next? Do I visit a local branch? Who can I complain to? Thank in advance for any help provided.
