T-Mobile’s Hotspot Refund System Encourages Breakage?

A crinkle appeared in our once happy story of how easy it was for us to get a refund from T-mobile hotspot.

We got an email saying we needed to call and provide our billing address in order to process the refund.

This could either be an honest mistake, or T-mobile encouraging breakage. Some customers could be too lazy to call back T-mobile and provide the correct address, allowing T-mobile to recoup some of the money it would lose to refunds. — BEN POPKEN

Please be advised that, you purchased a Fast Track Day Pass account and this account does not require you to provide your billing address or other personal information. But, when processing refunds back to a Credit/Debit Card, a full billing address is required. Since your account does not have billing address on file we were unable to process your refund request. Please call our Customer Service Department at the listed number below and provide your billing address so your refund can be process. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

Please feel free to contact us by email or at the number below if you have any further questions, comments or concerns.
