One thing to stress is that we are, at heart, advocates of responsible consumerism. We’re not particularly interested in hearing anecdotal, implausible ravings about, say, the ingredients of the special sauce at McDonald’s. Instead, we want to hear intelligent complaints from reasonable consumers who have been wronged by the companies they trust. Keep in mind when you send in your complaints that our savvy commenters are quick to call “Bullshit!” if they think you and not the company you are complaining about is in the wrong, so be prepared for alternative perspectives. Still, getting a complaint posted here is a great way to bring a company’s lousy customer service to other people’s attention and influence consumer decisions outside of your immediate ken, so we hope you’ll still write.
