4 Plants For Lazy People
It’s nice to have plants around the house to recycle the air and brighten up the room. But what if you’re a lazypants and know you’re likely to forget to take care of them? Don’t worry, there are still plants for you.
Lifehacker’s Melanie Pinola has been running an unscientific experiment to see which plants in her house will survive her neglect. She bought a whole bunch of kinds that were famed for their ability to live through their owner’s apathy and sloth. Plants like Lucky Bamboo, Mother-In-Law’s Tongue, cactus, and Peace Lily.
So which plants have yet to turn into brown husks? After a few months, the ones that were left were the air plants, cactus, aloe, and jade.
“Winner of the hardiest plant award in this experiment is the Aloe,” Melanie writes. “Some of the leaves are yellowing and almost dried out, but overall this plant just keeps growing and growing. It’s going to need a bigger pot.”
