Here's the funny part. I can use a stolen credit card (or made up # for that matter) on USPS.com, print the postage, and dump any weight package in any mailbox and the 13oz rule no longer applies. Real security there.

Furthermore, anything shipped priority mail will almost always go by air...and is NOT inspected. So while the TSA is giving you a rectal exam, anyone really wanting to bring down a plane can do so with some crude engineering (an old altimeter) and you're done. No need to learn how to fly, no need to deal with the TSA. No need to even change out of your pyjamas.

FLConsumer

My sister in law ordered Mothers Day flowers to be delivered to my mother in law, who lives about 5 miles from a small town. The florist called MIL on Saturday and said she would have to come in to town and pick up the flowers because they don't deliver that far out of town. MIL said she would be in town on this coming Wednesday and would pick them up then. The florist said no, that would not be ok, since the person who ordered the flowers said they must be delivered by Mother's Day.

Ihaveasmartpuppy

To anyone who thinks flagging down an employee with a key is important, you're missing a connection. If you find any employee and if they are at all helpful, they will know, or at least know how to find, a person who does have the key or a manager who can assist you.

Kohl's may have lost a $300 dollar sale, but the employee didn't. She probably wanted to go home. I've been both a customer and an employee at stores that were closing soon. The employees just want to go home and the customers don't have consideration for that. The customers want service the same as if the store just opened and the employees don't have consideration for that. Don't be surprised if things like this happen near closing.

mechanismatic

Two weeks ago, I ordered a Pentax K20D camera from Amazon, shipped 2nd day air to arrive four days before I needed it. It arrived on time, but wasn't working properly.

Pentax said to send it back and they'd reload the firmware and get it back to me a week to ten days after they receive it. That would be just a little beyond the four days I had.

I called Amazon and explained the situation. Barb L. asked a couple of questions then put me on hold to talk to her supervisor.

I had a replacement camera the next day.

I don't know why Amazon customer service screwed up Amanda's order, but they really came through for me.

nsv
