Lexus Owners Say Update Bricked Cars’ Navigation Systems

Just like your phone or computer, your web-connected car needs to get the occasional software update. Most of these system tweaks happen quietly without too much interruption to your life, but occasionally one goes wrong and you end up with a Lexus with navigation and infotainment systems that can’t be used because they are stuck in a reboot loop. Lexus Will Experiment With No-Haggle Car Pricing

Lexus Will Experiment With No-Haggle Car Pricing

Would no-haggle car pricing make the car-buying process more pleasant, and make you feel more warm and cuddly toward car dealers and toward the brand? Lexus apparently hopes so, and they plan to test this kind of pricing at a dozen of their dealerships. [More]

The only time most consumers want to see a car catch on fire is during a high-action movie. So it’s probably for the best that Toyota issued a recall of nearly 423,000 Lexus vehicles for a fuel leak issue that increases the risk of fire. [More]

Grout Bully, Rollie Eggmaster, Jay Glazer’s Perfect Punch, Lexus IS 250 Make List Of Year’s Worst Products

Our colleagues at ShopSmart recently published an expansive round-up of the year’s best products, which is all really good and helpful information. But what picqued our interest was the magazine’s shorter list, covering everything from questionable infomercial products to big-name luxury brands, of the worst products on the market in 2013. Lexus Tweet Implies Introverts Need Fixing

While I personally tend to tip more to the side of the extrovert scale (I will talk to strangers at length but you will never find me dancing on a table in a crowded bar) I do know that a world full of only extroverts would be a terrifying existence indeed. I also recognize the importance of being happy just the way you are — introvert, extrovert or something in between — an idea that is not so obvious to whoever is behind Lexus’ Twitter account. Consumer Reports: A 4-Year-Old Can Break The Emergency Trunk Release On 2013 Lexus

Our benevolent benefactors over at Consumer Reports are nothing if not very, very thorough when testing just about anything you can buy. So thorough, in fact, that CR’s auto extraordinaire Jake Fisher ran one very important test — the “How will my kids play [supervised] in this car?” test — and uncovered a major problem with the trunk escape lever on the 2013 Lexus ES and GS. His 4-year-old was able to snap it off. Whoops. [More]
