"If customers want to be treated professional they have to act professionally themselves. Saying, seemingly out of nowhere, that you have a stalker and a brain tumor is unprofessional when being used, as it seems in this case, as emotional leverage."

"I'm on side with Sheila - your life story has no bearing on what a CSR can do for you, particularly when the explanation is as vague as it seems and the tone of the customer is very terse. Just say what you want, if it can't be done politely ask for an escalation."
