        "Whether or not you're "smelling identity theft" is irrelevant to the fact that Valve has been selling software around the world with no pre-sale notice that it will be disabled without refund if you play it outside the country it was sold, and now, up to three years later, is deactivating that software without notice. DVD and game console regions are pretty clearly labeled; in contrast, there is no standard for enforcing regions in PC software, and the users had no reason to expect this practice to start now, out of the blue. Valve is clearly in the wrong here."
