"British Air (and Alitalia) are two two non-US airlines that have treated me badly in the past, in both cases related to seat assignments.
I will go out of my way to avoid both of them.
Incidently, it is interesting to note that both are in financial difficulty."
"I have a very simple punishment for these people.
We build a platform in the middle of the terminal with one (or more) chairs.
The bad guys need to sit there 8 hours a day (they get a lunch and bathroom breaks but that adds to the 8 hours).
Each wears a sign that says: My name is ...."
"The problem, and this certainly applies to Amazon's Kindle, is that the web is full of pirate sites that have virtually every popular book in pdf or similar format that can be easily converted and loaded into a reader."
"The open secret here is that most books by well-known authors(from King on up or down) and including those not available on ebooks (Orwell, Rand, "Harry Potter") can be downloaded in PDF or LIT format from many (illegal) pirate web sites after which they can be legally converted and transferred to Kindles.
At that point, since they weren't purchased from Amazon, they cannot be deleted by Amazon."
