For instance, buy up stock in a company and then as a shareholder make the CEO take a reasonable pay package?

Just asking...

<![CDATA[humphrmi commented on Just What The Heck Is MonaVie, And Should I Sell It?]]> Unless you become totally committed to the MLM (like in a freakish way) they generally don't work. At first they start out as just "yeah, it's a great product, help us sell it and make a little money on the side". Then, it becomes "This is such a great product, why aren't you asking your friends to help sell it?" And pretty soon its all about getting more bodies into the MLM.

<![CDATA[humphrmi commented on On The Money's Budget Calculator Helps Guide Your Monthly Spending]]> Strange. I should be spending 10x as much as I am now for transportation, yet my housing (I'm assuming that means mortgage P&I, taxes and insurance) is on the dollar. And their food is way lower than mine (about half), but then we keep Kosher. I'm curious if "Savings" means retirement, college, and rainy day? That also seems a bit low to me.

<![CDATA[humphrmi commented on Consumerist Forced To Cut Staff]]> Sad to see Chris and Carey go. Since weekends are the only time I have to get my corporate rantings organized, Chris has posted most of my submissions.

I too was drawn to the other Gawker Media sites by Consumerist. In fact, I was drawn to Consumerist by an RSS feed aggregator at work, that is no longer functioning. Sigh.

<![CDATA[humphrmi commented on Scammers Pose As Grandchildren Pleading For Emergency Cash]]> "I'm in trouble, Grandma. I'm up here in Toronto. I need money. I'm in jail."

My first rule with my kids (which I hope they will pass down to their kids someday): if you get arrested, make yourself comfortable... we'll see you in the morning (late morning. Maybe early afternoon. ;)

The wrecked car won't get any more wrecked by the time I get there.

<![CDATA[humphrmi commented on Gas Station Owner Accidentally Sells Gas For $0.35, But Is Glad To Have Made People Happy]]> See, I would think differently - tell the attendant about it, and maybe they'll be so happy that I reported it, that they give me a free tank of gas. I just saved even more! ;-)

<![CDATA[humphrmi commented on Leading Hotels Do-Over Postponed]]> It never ceases to amaze me how in 2008, fully twelve years after e-trade suffered severe outages due to overwhelming network crashes caused by too many of their customers trying to trade all at once, that any company still doesn't understand the basic physics of the Internet.

E-Trade. Sears. Leading Hotels of the World. Countless others. "Let's have an Internet sale!"

All a bunch of morons who can't be bothered to do a little basic research.
