]]>
<![CDATA[dalejo commented on Mint.com's Plans For Portfolio Recommendations]]> @facted: Given Mint's track record of not responding technically to technical questions, I wouldn't take their word for it. Yodlee has access to personal data, why would Mint not? You can potentially get this at other sites that use Yodlee.

]]>
<![CDATA[dalejo commented on Since when do Japanese pornographers pay tech podcasters six figures?]]> @maristcf1: Why would you have to listen to anyone? I hope you don't follow that idiot Steve Gibson as well.

]]>
<![CDATA[dalejo commented on Review Of Mint.com's New Investment-Tracking Features]]> @babulas: At the very least there is personal, identifiable information displayed from your account that Mint has access to. And don't think that at least initially that your login and passwords aren't going through Mint - your SSL connection terminates with them. It does not go through straight to Yodlee. Also, AJAX is notoriously insecure since most developers just don't have any sort of training in the security paradigm.

I trust Yodlee itself as much as one can. I don't trust Mint. Their CEO has been asked many times about user's privacy and security and it has been clear from his answers that his does not understand the implications of either. He babbles in some dumbed down marketing speak.

]]>
<![CDATA[dalejo commented on Mint.com's Plans For Portfolio Recommendations]]> @facted: But all your data and identifiable personal information is visible to Mint since they obviously use that data to make their recommendations.

I definitely don't get why Gawker falls all over themselves on this site - how about some full disclosure?

]]>
<![CDATA[dalejo commented on Google doesn't care about Mexican people]]> @el_googlo: Funny, it seems the French actually take about that much time off themselves.
