      • conquestofbread commented on Internet Speeds Are Lower Than Advertised 50-80% Of The Time

"Honestly, 50-80% of the time is significant enough for me to consider this fraud. If you can't deliver what you promise even 50% of the time, you should be promising a lot less. Aren't there laws about this kind of thing?"

      • conquestofbread commented on Lawsuit: Abercrombie Said Muslim's Headscarf Violated "Look Policy"

"@shepd: I can't believe you would compare someone's choice of religion to making a poor life choice for which they should be refused a job. Or is it that particular religion that you find so offensive? As a previous poster commented, many people do not consider their religion a real matter of choice. Totally, totally ignorant."

"@mythago: To be fair, I know many people who work with special needs kids, both in a psych hospital and in in-home care. There really are children with behavioral problems who get dumped off in the hospital because their parents can't handle them."

      • conquestofbread commented on Secret Film Of Hy-Line Hatchery Shows "Inappropriate Action" Of Workers

"What I think most people fail to understand is that yes, while human beings have eaten meat for thousands of years and this is unlikely to change, factory farming is not natural or humane. You do not have to be cruel to animals to produce eggs and dairy, but you do on a massive scale. I am not going to tell people to never eat meat (even though I do not), but I am going to stand up for the fact that the methods used to produce animal products en masse in America are unacceptable. And if eliminating those methods means that there is less product to go around, I don't care."

"@shepd: "Seriously, if you want me to take you seriously, you will tell me useful information without the religious preaching." Also, perhaps you should take your own advice and present arguments other than "Animal rights activists are terrorists". Hypocrite."
