      • Curiosity commented on Please, People: Stop Making Me Defend Sarah Palin

"As a guy (gasp), who has worked on both sides of the political debate (double gasp), I applaud in part Megan's comment - it identifies a need for better debate. How about we suspend our politics for a bit and ask under what conditions she can be directly assessed and how we (the people) should assess her."

      • Curiosity commented on Ohio Passes Legislation That Will Punch Payday Lending Industry In The Face

"Payday loans are not bad in concept what is bad is the excessive amount of interest that is charged - this causes a need to refinance and results in a higher default. It is claimed that the lenders are required to charge the amount b/c (1) that is what the market will bare, or (2) they have huge overhead costs."

      • Curiosity commented on Is It Legal To Use Out Of Date List Prices For Comparison On Sales?

"@Beerad: You may end up with a miserable public education, but there may be other factors that the state has done that makes up for this (superior job market/standard of living). An interesting background on this as it concerns corporations can be found at [www.google.com] Moreover the debate between states rights and federalism is far from over since it has to do with local people making choices about their local property."

      • Curiosity commented on Is It Legal To Use Out Of Date List Prices For Comparison On Sales?

"The term List Price is a bit confusing since it usually refers to a certain list usually (the MSRP or Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price [www.wisegeek.com] [en.wikipedia.org])."
