Starbucks New "Perfect Oatmeal" Loved By Cat
Starbucks delivered their new "healthy choices" breakfast menu to The Consumerist this morning, and, falling blindly into their free breakfast trap, we all tried it out. A taste review will follow, but for now, just know that for some reason, my cat, Captain Duvel Moneycat, loves Starbucks new "Perfect Oatmeal." Seriously,he was freakin' on this bowl, it was disturbing. I took it away shortly after taking this exploitative photo.

You Starbucks haters out there can rejoice, because the company just posted its first quarterly loss EVAR "of $6.7 million, or 1 cent per share, compared with a year-earlier net profit of $158.3 million, or 21 cents per share." Starbucks To Close 600 Stores, Cut Up To 12,000 Jobs
MSNBC says that Starbucks has announced that it will be closing 600 locations in the US and could eliminate up to 12,000 full and part-time jobs. Previously, the company had announced that it would close only 100 stores.

Starbucks will ditch those CD spinner racks and instead concentrate on just four CD "slots" per store. This announcement comes after a NYT article claimed they were selling just 2 CDs per store per day. This is actually more than we thought they were selling, however. [Silicon Valley Insider]
