    Jet Lag Kills?

There's a new study that subjected elderly mice to the equivalent of frequent jet lag, and just 47% of older mice whose clocks went forward 6 hours each week survived.

What does this mean for you? Well, if you work for an airline, or fly frequently, it could be significant. From the article:

"Whatever the precise mechanism, this raises important issues about the safety of counter-clockwise rotating shift work and the potential long-term health consequences for airline crews regularly crossing time zones."
