      • APatzer commented on Mint Makes Budgeting Easier for Non-Accountants

"For those who are concerned about security & privacy, it's worth mentioning that both the CTO, Aneesh Chopra, and CIO, Vivek Kundra, of the Obama administration use Mint.com: [venturebeat.com] I met with them last week and they asked if Mint could design a similar system for the federal government to visualize it's budget. A couple of key things to note: 1) Mint.com is read-only, even if your account were hacked, you can't move money. 2) You're anonymous, we don't ask for your name, address, SSN, or anything like that - just an email and zip code for signup. 3) No account numbers or credit card numbers are in the system. 4) We have bank-level data security and routine auditing."
