"Here's a ridiculous example, where even using Lifehacker 101 to the limit has failed to provide results: July 2007: bought Xtatix mp3 from Newegg.com for $29 less $20 rebate, or $9 for a 1GB mp3 player/flash drive July 2007: Knowing myself to always lose these things, sent rebate from work the day the package (with its UPC) arrived October 2007: my GCAL reminder tells me I should have received rebate per the 60 days term October 2007: Call Xtatix rebates, "We had an overwhelming response to our offer, so there has been a delay in processing." Interesting, didnt they make the rebate offer because they wanted people to accept it?"
