Verizon Wants $500 For 35MB Of Phantom Data Use

Phone is not used for data, and the web browser has never been opened.

Phone user uses the phone as an offline PDA with the ability to make phone calls, and therefore, there is no reason for data to have been used.

These arguments are not that compelling. They are testimonial, not evidence. The OP says the web browser has never been opened. How does he know that? This sounds like he is saying: "My father saysweb browser has never been opened." That's not the same thing as knowing the web browser was never opened. The same goes for his argument that "there is no reason for data to have been used." That's not the same as saying data wasn't used.

The only compelling thing the OP says is that "Verizon was unable to provide a list of IP addresses for the data use incurred." But whether that's just their policy or whether that proves his case is unclear.

Vitaminwater Isn't Healthy, Rules Federal Judge

"Make the water good for you" is a meaningless statement.

No it isn't. For example, I can make a dinner that's good for you. Or a dinner that's bad for you. We all know Lucky Charms for dinner is bad. And some grilled chicken with some vegetables is good. I'm not trying to write a health cookbook - the analogy is clear. If you want to sell a product called vitamin water, mostly sugar water is clearly not enough.

It's not a PSP phone - the article does not say that. It will not automatically play PSP games.

It's an Android phone that may have some PSX and PSP titles ported to it.

Almost none of these decisions at PayPal are done by humans and therefore their reps cannot explain them. They don't know. PayPal also doesn't want to give any power to their reps because they want to rely on their computer models.

This translates to treating customers like dirt and this has always been the PayPal way.

I disagree. It has gotten worse under the Bloomberg administration. They have been more aggressive in pursuing development and they make no secret about it.

This is standard operating procedure under the Bloomberg administration. Developer or company makes promises to get what they want; city gives them what they want; developer or company breaks promises; city does nothing.

Here's an idea: Actually put vitamins in the water? Actually make the water good for you?

Oh, sorry, me talk crazy again.
