Nomadic And Crashing With Friends? No Computer Parts For You
Next week on Consumerist: Man sees $1400 in unauthorized charges show up on credit card bill -- why didn't vendor verify his address?
You can't have it both ways - Tiger Direct sells a lot of high value gear, and they need to protect themselves and their customers. You can't expect a vendor to just blindly ship $1400 in merchandise to any random address. I'm happy to hear they do verifications, as it means they take fraud seriously.

HSBC's Credit Card Policies Feel Like 1994 All Over Again
So, you "earn" 4% to spend on more crap at Best Buy, or you buy your iPad online from a vendor with no sales tax, and save 8% or more? (unless of course you live in a sales tax free state).
Either way - I don't understand why the 4% reward zone coupons would even remotely make it worthwhile to shop there.
Hard is math.

Archos Sends 'Refurbished' Tablet Full Of Scratches, Fingerprints, Porn
I'm being very careful here not to blame the victim, but the whole part about opening the video app in front of young kids and automatically seeing lesbian porn just doesn't sound right. The video app shows the thumbnail of the clip and the title, and I have a very hard time believing she opened the app and picked the clip, all within plain view of kids. I know it is hip to add some drama to a complaint email, but too much of this one just sounds like bullshit.
That said; Archos is a horrible company to deal with, and in this case, a chargeback or demand for refund sounds like the way to go.

This isn't news until we have a year Disney does NOT raise prices. Price increases for their properties are just a fact of life :(
