@kwsventures: I don't have a problem for them making credit hard to get for people with little or poor credit history. That's how it used to be before they started issuing credit cards to dogs and babies and we were fine.

there's no reason to even step into those stores unless you're looking for a rare Asian or European camera or unlocked cell phone -which you should be looking for online first anyway

@big keytee: I tell tourist friends to stay away from those shops as far as possible and go to a well-known franchise like Best Buy (hey they have price warranty). Local NY shops with price warranty are PC Richards and J&R World.

Some unemployment offices are very efficient at coming up with discrepancies to disqualify you but very incompetent to fix them. In the meantime people waste time the can use in things like finding a job. It's all so counter productive.

The irony is that with their second bankruptcy in less than a year, they're yet again bailing out their vendor's contracts. Something their members try to pull off, mostly with no success.
