The last I checked a few months ago it was settled and then about 8 or so people filed objections to the settlement and that pretty much doomed it for the next century.

We actually made less this year than last year, stayed with the same exemptions, and now suddenly owe $500 extra in taxes. I feel better knowing that the money we cannot afford is going to pay for somebody's 45 million dollar mansion. Life is good.

Obviously the lady was wrong for calling 911. Now she gets to go to criminal court. What Mcdonalds did was theft. They took her money and refused to give her what she purchased and then refused to give her money back. If she had taken the chicken and walked away from the store without paying she would be sitting in jail. I fail to see how this is any different. This is business as usual- corporations running over the little people with no ramifications for their own actions.

@dave23: Of course not. I bet you they counted the minutes against their customers also and of course any prepaid minutes also cost the customer.

A few years ago an attorney friend gave me the entire case from the coffee incident. the most important part of it came from a meeting between the mcdonald's higher ups in which they discussed the temperature of the coffee. They had dozens of reports of major burns but decided that it was worth more money to pay off the occasional lawsuit than to make those people unhappy who wanted their coffee to still be hot when they got to work. They knew, without a doubt, that if it hit your skin you would get 3rd degree burns.
The lady had put the cup between her legs to reach for something and the lid, which was not fastened all the way, popped off and it spilled onto her legs and burned her through sweatpants. that is hot.

Applied for a chase card and was turned down for not having enough established credit.

760 fico
no late payments, negative info, ect
2 inquiries in last year
$0 debt
8 1/2 year credit file
1 open revolving account 2 years old
around 20 closed positive tradelines

Why don't they just come out and say we do not want to give credit because the government is giving us your money anyway so why actually work for it. Be honest for a change.

At least they can get credit from chase. We applied and were turned down flat for not having enough of a credit file. Fico score is around 760. file is nearly 8 years old with about 15 different accounts. one inquiry. No debt on it whatsoever. Of course why take a risk when the government fives you billions of dollars with no accountability.

UPS Refuses Your Package On Your Behalf

UPS kinda did the same thing to me on an RMA. They said the company refused it when 1)they did no such thing and 2)one of the refusals was 2 hours after they closed. Package was sent December 1st and still has not been delivered. Want some real stupidity? Check out the back and forth across the country.

I mailed a package via UPS 27 days ago. It has gone all over the country twice over and then disappeared. Thanks UPS for completely screwing up(4 recorded mistakes now). since it was my $550 graphics card but the shipping was paid for by the company who made it they get the insurance money, UPS gets away with it, and I get nothing.
