File Sharing Site Megupload Is Shut Down By The U.S. Government
"It's good to see the government going after such dangerous, harmful criminals."
In addition to letting the people in the banking industry get away with causing much more damage than the $500 million, or so, that Megaupload supposedly cost copyright holders.
While I am against piracy I am also against these fucking corporations taking over our country while most of our elected officials kiss the corporate asses of whoever lines their pockets.
It's time for the people to take back what is ours. I would like it to be done through voting but it may be too far gone for that to happen in our lifetime, if ever.
If CVS Sells You Something Expired, It's Your Own Damn Fault
CVS is trying to cover their corporate asses. Read the article about them selling out of date items at:
http://www.dailyfinance.com/2009/06/11/cvs-slammed-again-for-selling-expired-products/
They were doing it 2 1/2 years ago and they are still doing it.
I wonder how the consumer is supposed to check the expiration date on their prescriptions since they don't see the bottle the prescription was filled from. They could ask to see the bottle but that doesn't mean they will be shown the "real" one. They could be shown one with a current date instead of the one that expired months or years ago.
Was I Wrong To Profit From Returning An Online Purchase To Walmart?
Most definitely fraud. The OP knows it. I doubt he's having remorse. I believe he is gloating.
Let's look at this another way. Many, if not all, of us would be ticked off at Wal*Mart if the OP told us he bought the item from them for $149.00 and they only wanted to give him a $99.00 refund. This is no different. THE OP IS A THIEF!
Offices, Beware The "Yellow Pages Online" Scam
We get calls like this on a regular basis. The last time was about a week ago. I don't remember what came up on the Caller ID but it was not any of the companies we do business with. When I answered the person on the other end asked if I was the owner. My answer was "How may I help you?" He ignored what I said and repeated his question. I repeated what I said. This went on one or two more times, He finally hung up the phone.
Taxpayers Lost $1.3 Billion In Chrysler Bailout
You're right. Sorry for the typo. I meant billion.
I feel I'm in an Austin Powers movie. :)
Taxpayers Lost $1.3 Billion In Chrysler Bailout
I challenge you to find me blaming Bush for any of what you said. Why don't you deal with the facts. Bush is the one who gave the auto industry over 17 million dollars in loans.

Thank you George Bush!

Researcher: 8 Percent Of Android Apps Leak Private Info
Traveller; I too use both Lookout and LBE Security. They are great.
I am a bit confused about one thing you posted. You said;
"I only have one program that I allow to use the IMEI: Amazon Appstore. It has to know where to send the apps, right?"
I just verified the "Configure Permissions" I have set for the Amazon Appstore. The permission for getting the phone identity IMEI / IMSI I had set to deny. The only permission I gave to the app is network access. I am still able to download apps to the phone and have been able to do so since setting it up that way months ago.
In fact I also verified that none of my apps have their permission set to allow them to read my phone identity and I've never had any problems. You might want to chane your permissions and give the app a try.
Please let me know how it went.
