I just got a mobility scooter. Trying to convince my doctor I need a pass because, in his mind, I don't need my cane, is a pita. His partner was easy to convince. Him, not so much.
That burning sensation in my leg, the stabbing pain in my hips, the molten core of the lower back where it joins my pelvis... My mobility scooter has given me so much freedom.
But, my doc is convinced that I just need to "exercise my leg" in order to fix it. I've been doing that for years and it hasn't gotten better. *eyeroll*

Someone did die. In Canada, a man was decapitated by a loonatic who took greyhound. Cause the guy is First Nations, all he got was a sentencing circle. WTF!

@CaptainSemantics: Actually, that isn't terribly off. I worked for an HP call center and we were up and running after 7 weeks of training. In this case I am thinking its likely 6-7 weeks of classroom style training followed by about 4-5 weeks of "mentor" training where they take calls but have someone at their elbow to help them.

TSA is ass covering. Doesn't matter if the child was taken away for 1 minute or an hour, you don't do that.

I'd like to see what my underwire bras do to the scanner. or would they like me to strip and reveal my way too big udders to the world instead? If I have to travel anywhere, I'm going by car.

20-30K for a wedding? Ours was $1400 including dress, hall rental, flowers, decorations (that our maidzilla conveniently left behind), license fees, and official fees. And we had ours planned and done in less than a month. It would have been cheaper too, but maidzilla and her mom told us in no uncertain terms that we were not allowed to elope. We should have. It would have cut our costs down to $400.
