Good point...although if you don't use the flag, they might thing your freshly-made sandwiches came from China? :-D

Curse you IE9 and your whacky cache management for making me think "I must have thought about posting a reply but never actually did" and causing me to post the same thing twice!

It might not be outright illegal outside of DC (probably subject to state/local laws), but it's definitely considered "disrespectful" to the flag everywhere (of course only to people who are aware of that kind of thing).

Which basically gives you a damned if you do/damned if you don't situation...if they used a "real" flag instead of a "stylized one" you'd surely have a flag-ettiquette wonk writing in about that!

Not sure if it's illegal outside DC (hence potentially illegal), as it could potentially be defined at state/local levels...

But it's definitely universally disrespectful. Seems like a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. They used a "stylized" flag and got crap about it, but if they used a real flag, you know some flag ettiquette maven would be writing in complaining about THAT!

It is considered disrespectful and is also potentially illegal to use an actual US flag for advertising purposes.

If it's been there long enough to create an adverse possession situation, that might just be the case.

I'm glad Delaware has the resources to spare dealing with this. Plus, that guy has some *AWESOME* neighbors...great folks right there, making sure those filthy basketball hoop scofflaws were brought to justice. The world is a safer place now and we salute you.

I always read manuals. Every page. There's often techniques/tricks/rules that you would never figure out. It seems particularly crazy for sports games which have become ridiculously complicated over the years.

A good tutorial isn't bad but it's hard to refer back to it later if you want to look something up.

A decently-organized online manual is ok, though.

Pro tip to the "burn victim": If an orchestra conductor gives you some balm to put on the burn, DO NOT DO IT. You should only let a doctor put a balm on. No one can tell what a balm's gonna do. They're unpredictable.
