If politicians really want to cure obesity, they should put special "fat tax" on couches, recliners, xbox360s, playstation 3s, and cable TV. Sugar and obesity don't go hand in hand. However, inactivity and obesity do go hand in hand. You want America to get skinny? Tell them to get off their butts.

@jethropew: I agree. 10 to 1 that kid was throwing back some oreos all the time too! It is 100% in the hands of parents. I doubt my parents let me go without brushing my teeth at that age and I certainly will make sure my children brush their teeth, especially after the mouth trouble I've had. (Not from bad hygiene...just bad teef!!) I hope they don't get my teeth!

@huntsterUNC: Hrm. After further thought, maybe I should further clarify. We don't have a Toyota or Honda dealership in our town/county. We will buy locally which means Ford or GM. (Well only GM now)

My father and grandfather always bought American cars. I will always buy American cars. And I will ensure that my children and grandchildren always buy American cars.
To my knowledge, we've never had any problems with any of our Ford or GM cars.

I still refuse to believe that trans continental jet lag exists in N America. I've flow from Raleigh, NC to las vegas entirely too many times (so sez my wallet). Never jet lagged once.

CVS Doesn't Like Kids
Anyone who disagrees with CVS on this policy has OBVIOUSLY never been around groups teenagers when they are away from mommy and daddy or have no supervision.
I can assure you that I treat my teenage customers with a little less regard than my adult customers. This is due to the fact that 95% the time, the teens are doing something to deface or destroy my business. That or they're off trying to make babies in the corner. If it wasn't a logistics nightmare, I would charge 18 and under to come into my business.

Why U.S. Broadband Sucks
I too am very content with my broadband Internet. Charter CAble Television sucks major where I am, however the internet is tops! I have the 20mbps package and all I have to do is exchange my modem for a new one to bump up to 25mbps. I can run VOIP, several torrents, and play WOW with no adverse effects. My upstream is 2mbps.
