My Roommate Stole My Cable Box And Comcast Wants $300
@mizike: It's not worth the $300, but it is worth it on principle. Thieves should not be rewarded for their behavior with complacency, and wouldn't a judgment go on her credit report or something? Maybe she won't pay now, but when she's 30 and wants to buy a house she might feel differently.
Customer Finds Dead Mouse In Toyota
Likely entered recently. Even in an enclosed space the mouse would have been completely decomposed if it had been in there since it was built. Poor little guy.
Sorry, No Mortgage: Experian Says That You're Dead
@Joe_TheRapist: Is that really very common? I always thought of vehicle repossessions as one of those hyped events that really doesn't happen often.
Ground Beef Gains Time-Travel Ability
@crazydavythe1st: Actually there is probably beef from all three nations in the package. A pound of ground beef isn't just from one cow, it's from hundreds or thousands all mixed together.
What Is A Money Market Account?
@gStein_wondering if this will work: Stuffing it under a mattress would give you a better interest rate than a BofA savings account.
Police: Gang Was Killing People For Fat, Attempting To Sell It To Cosmetic Companies
@humphrmi: Really...it seems like that's something you can easily make yourself for free.
Depressed Lady Loses Benefits Because Of Her Facebook Photos
@ubermex: Not only that, but she might be on medication that controls her depression. Pull the coverage, take away the meds, and she falls right back.
The main problem is that some idiot at the insurance company is clueless and thinks depression is like having the flu or something.
Rent The Runway: Netflix For Designer Dresses
A nice idea, but women don't just throw on a $2,000 dress and hit the town. They need to be fitted. Being the right 'size' is just the first step.
Pontiac Silverdome Sells For Only $583,000
Sports stadiums are a waste of money. Go throw your ball around outside somewhere.

Verizon Stuck Me With A Contract I Didn't Sign And Phone I Don't Want
@ubermex: This same thing happened to someone I know, and serves as an example of why I think the system is broken and people are screwed. He called to cancel his phone service at the end of the contract, and instead they signed him up with a new contract and sent him a new phone in the mail to a different address. So he gets billed at this address, they pile up unpaid, and they finally send him to collections - he has no idea any of this happened. A lawyer buys the debt, who sues him for the balance plus an ungodly amount for himself to this freaky address. The default judgment that followed resulted in garnishment of his wages, which he never knew anything about until his boss told him. Something like 50% of his salary. So HE went to court to contest, and by the time everything was resolved, the garnishment was already finished and he was left without any money and instructions to sue the lawyer, who apparently could no longer be found.
So I think the OP is screwed.
