More Research Proves Vaccinations Don't Cause Autism In Kids
What (or who) is "Hannah Polling"? I found a facebook page that is anti-vaccination that said:
"Official findings of the Hannah Poling case
Vaccines RESULT in AUTISM!"
and all I can think is "what is this I don't even"...
This Is How You Debate Health Care Reform, Brooklyn Style!
It's ever so much better for a gov't bureaucrat instead of an insurance company to decide that the treatment for that child is too risky, has little chance of working, or could pay for a lot more vaccinations instead.
Oregon Woman Sues McDonalds Over Too-Hot Coffee
She placed the coffee cup between her knees and pulled the far side of the lid toward her to remove it. In the process, she spilled the entire cup of coffee on her lap.[9] Liebeck was wearing cotton sweatpants; they absorbed the coffee and held it against her skin as she sat in the puddle of hot liquid for over 90 seconds, scalding her thighs, buttocks, and groin.[10]
Oregon Woman Sues McDonalds Over Too-Hot Coffee
She wore sweatpants which helped retain the hot liquid next to her skin. Holding McDonalds liable for the burns would be like holding her clothing manufacturer liable because her sweat pants weren't like gore-tex.
Supreme Court Guts Corporate Campaign Spending Limits
Eugene Volokh said it better than I.
"The Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision simply means that other corporations, and unions, will enjoy much the same First Amendment rights that media corporations have. "
Should Yelp Remove Reviews By Non Customers?
This also happened a lot to businesses that donated money to prop 8 last year; some taco joint in LA was boycotted and yelp-bombed.
FCC Proposes New, Awesome, Net Neutrality Rules
#1 sounds to me like it sets the stage for ISPs to monitor usage more closely; if those bittorrent feeds are for warez, then the traffic shaping is permissible? And if that's the bulk of the traffic....
What Should I Do When Redbox Has Indigestion?
Gotta love some of the comments here. You are seeing some of the shortcomings of the Red box model. You sought it out because it seemed very convenient and cheap, but here's the pitfall- if the kiosk is full or not working, you're stuck and have to either wait for a slot to open up or find another kiosk and we all know how difficult that is.
Or just rent from Blockbuster/Netflix/Hollywood video and you won't have this problem.
Black Blogger Alliance Hits Talk Show Host Where It Hurts
@carlosdelvaca: yes all the time. They protested against ABC and disney throughout the 90's because of their support for gay rights or gay civil unions or tv shows that either had gay themes or portrayed gays prominently or positively (ie the lesbian kisses or coming out in the Ellen or Rosanne shows). It wasn't limited to FCC complaints either.
I've never liked or supported protests that target advetisers; this strikes me as crossing a line between expressing your view and imposing it. But it irritated me more to see people complain about such targeted protests when their ox is being gored while resorting to the same dispicable tactics for political opponents. If it's ok to protest Beck like this, it's ok to protest Mahr.

Netflix CEO: Pay-Per-View Not In Company's Future
"Hastings also shot down the idea of a tiered pricing plan that would give users access to different kinds of content depending on how much they pay each month."
Why the hell not? You do that today with DVD and blu-ray.
