1) Some women can't breastfeed

2) Cloth diapers can be pretty difficult, and if you don't have your own washer/dryer and have to pay to do laundry, then not cheaper.

3) Like your mom did?? So you're not even a parent yet feel qualified to comment on how much easier and cheaper these options are? I'm dying laughing here.

Kind of harsh-- it's hard to google a word you have no idea how to spell...I don't think Schpeal even comes up in Google as "Did you mean...spiel?"

Delta Sent My Kid Off Plane With A Stranger, Gave Me $300 To Make Up For It

Yeah, I've sat next to and helped unaccompanied minors, and as a kid was an unaccompanied minor who on several occasions was helped by or chatted with men traveling alone. And you know what? They weren't creepy, and were just being nice and making sure I was okay and all set.

Also, by the age of 8 I certainly knew better than to wander off the plane with such a stranger and out the airport, no matter what BS lines they fed me. I was only to leave the airport with my aunt or whoever was picking me up, and if someone told us they were there in her place, we weren't to leave until we spoke to our parents over the phone (and we were shown how to do that with a pay phone).

So while Delta certainly dropped the ball, I think this woman is exaggerating the ZOMG DANGER that her son was in.

I've been in that position, though, and I took the camera and some jewelry out of the carry-on, and then checked it. Still wasn't thrilled about it since I had an expensive new coat in it, but I know that's a lot less of a target for baggage handler thieves running their hands through the bag than electronics.

So yes, it sucks for the OP, and if he's not an experienced traveler taking the camera out before gate-checking may not have occurred to him, but that's the game as it currently stands. Another tip when I'm not sure if my carry-on bag will be allowed on board is to pack an extra cheap nylon bag in my suitcase. They fold flat and barely take up any room, and are handy in such a situation for transferring valuables to if the bigger bag needs to be gate-checked.

Nope, you just have to stop taking the birth control/hormonal pills for those days. They are just included in the pack so that we don't mess up the routine of taking a daily pill during those 5 days, putting one at higher risk of forgetting on of the real ones when starting a new pack at the beginning of their next cycle.
