So is EVERY little screw ups worthy of posting on Consumerist? Please stop wasting your reader's time with worthless complaints that speak nothing about the company in question except that they employ humans.

Google Might Buy Yelp

Good idea only if Google will invest some money into finding a way to rank opinions and weed out obvious false positive (or negative) reviews. I have no idea how to do that and unless Google has figured that out it's stupid to buy an almost useless site. I've contributed honest reviews to Yelp but got burnt on a false positive for a local kabob shop.

Sears Driver Runs Over Customers' Dog, Inspires Website

I'm a dog owner and I keep control of my dog. Sorry for your loss but you don't have any right to blame others for this accident. Sears is not being heartless, they are just being reasonable. You are not.

Senate Introduces Bill To Rein In Early Termination Fees

Okay, all you business or government majors follow this bill which everyone can agree is a good idea. Follow it closely through markup and if it ever does become a low look at what the corporations and lobbyist have done to it by the end and you will have the perfect case study/dissertation on what is wrong with American government.

I'd like to actually see someone go into RS and ask for their donation to fight cancer back. You'd haveto be the biggest douchebag in the world to ask for your dollar back.

College Students Arrested For Refusing To Pay Tip

Karma has been balanced. If this has been on the local news then they've lost much more business than the lousy tip came to. I'm sure the case will either be dropped or they judge will fine them the 18% and leave it at that.

Reader Says He Was Tackled At Walmart For Not Showing Receipt

I'm in the "you're a douchebag" camp. Sorry, stores keeping losses low keeps your prices reasonable so they can afford to... I don't know... give away $100 gift cards.

I hate you more for making me defend Walmart.

15 Years In Prison After Cutting The Line At Walmart?

Commented by duckfat:
4:52 PM on November 18, 2009

I don't like Walmart and try to never shop there but this case has nothing to do with Walmart. It seems like some people got into an argument and Walmart did the ONLY sensible thing by calling the police and having the people removed. They chose to fight the cops and others and thereby got some charges. This should not even be on Consumerist. I know we all like to bash Walmart but where are they at fault in this at all?

Last I checked the MPAA is NOT a law enforcement entity. This town is run by morons or cowards (probably both).

Netflix Will Screw You For The Right Price

Commented by duckfat:

This is the kind of BS that happens when a company becomes a de-facto monopoly. They forget the customers and do everything to maximize profits. I thought Netflix was different but they are just tools.
