Tell Us Your Tales Of Switching Banks

So, I'm in the process of switching to a CU. It's one I've been at for years, so I'm not worried about that.

What I am worried is that I have a savings in ING. I want to close that account since the buyout, but I want to find another option to put that money in.

I was going to use Ally, but I had a very bad experience when I was trying to open an account and it soured me on giving them my cash.

So, fellow readers, does anyone know of another ING-ish bank where I can keep accessible savings at a decent, albeit fluctuating, interest rate?

Thanks!

I am extremely sad about this. I liked ING's interface and it was nice to deal with a bank that didn't have the negative connotation that these brick and mortars have.

I will now be looking for another bank to move my decent stockpile of money to. :(

The Jacks Links commercials with Sasquatch. Seriously, those are good times!

You could nominate just about every political ad. That would easily win out Most Grating Performance By a Human and Creepiest Commercial.

Might even qualify for the Most Annoying "non-animated" Spokesthing, if that were a category too!

Five Scary Facebook Monsters Just Waiting To Grab You

No, the problem is that people arbitrarily feel that Facebook is a "safe" place. Therefore, whatever they click on or whatever links are in emails or chats from friends must be o.k.

Considering that Fbook is run by ad support, there are so many different ways to click on something and end up getting a worm/virus. That's not even mentioning the multiple times that accounts are hacked and emailed to an entire contact list.

And if you actually read my post, it has nothing to do with the physical user, it has to do with the facebook platform. Facebook is terribly unsecure and the end users are left to deal with the results.

As a desktop tech for a college, I absolutely loathe facebook.

It seems that I have to fix at least one computer a week due to somebody getting a virus from facebook. And I can't even tell you how many students come in with a laptop that is utterly destroyed because they thought they were getting "the next cool facebook app" and it ended up trashing their system.

Actually, this is exactly how Ozzie talks too.

Being a Chicagoan and a Sox fan, I've learned the half-word mutations he uses to make his statements!

And no, none of the systems I had seen were for a bundle. Just the 120 gig slim console and one controller!
