Can A Restaurant Meal Be So Bad You Shouldn't Pay The Bill?
Agreed. I used to eat there a few times a month. The food was consistently good, and I enjoyed it a lot. Then they either changed cooks or meat suppliers, because my good steaks went to over-seasoned hunks of gristle. I suspect they switched suppliers because a good cut of meat does not need so much seasoning that it burns your tongue.
I've been there a few times this year, but it's just not consistent anymore. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's terrible.
$5K Customer Is Very Insignificant Person To Raymour & Flanigan
The letter says that the recliners were custom colors and the other pieces were just stock colors. They gave him a six to eight week timeframe for delivery. It's been much longer.
Nomadic And Crashing With Friends? No Computer Parts For You
I had a similar problem with Newegg. I can't remember exactly what happened, but I think that if the billing address does not match the shipping address, they won't take the order.
Burglaries Are Down, So Why Are People Buying More Safes?
I'm getting married at the end of the month, and I would LOVE it if someone got us a safe. I have one on my Amazon wishlist and it's about $300, so I'd love to not have to spend the money. I don't have many valuables, but I'd like something to keep our important documents in.
Is It A Good Or Weird Thing That Some Dollar General Stores Offer Groceries?
I just can't bring myself to buy food from Dollar Tree. Candy or a soda at the checkout, maybe (although every soda I've ever seen there has been expired). Frozen or refrigerated food? Never. A friend of mine is the cheapest person ever and insists on buying "manager's special" meat and refrigerated items from the dollar store. I got food poisoning from her manager's special hamburger, so I won't eat at her house anymore. I'm sure some of the food is fine, but I don't know how long it sits out in the back before they stock it or how well it was packaged or anything like that.
Between 36-122 Million Americans Have Pre-Existing Conditions That Would Restrict Health Insurance Coverage
I've just about had it with insurance companies at this point. I do understand that I am a bigger risk due to my pre-existing conditions (I was born with spina bifida, which led to my kidney disease which led to my hypertension), but I NEED coverage if I am going to live a decent life. I've been without for a few months and there have been a couple times where I thought I needed medical attention, but I did not want to go to the ER for fear of a huge bill.
Insurance companies make no sense sometimes. Because of my health issues, I've been advised not to get pregnant -- and that if I do get pregnant, I will have to spend a minimum of six months in a tertiary care facility due to the risk. I decided to get my tubes tied so I wouldn't ever have to worry about it. The thing is, my insurance won't pay for ANY contraceptive procedure. So they won't pay about $15K for a tubal that would last me until after menopause, but they WOULD cover me if I had to spend six months in the hospital. Even if it was only $1,500/day total (which it wouldn't be), that's still $270,000. They'll pay out $270K, but not $15K for a one-time procedure!
Woman Spends 6 Years Trying To Convince Credit Bureaus She's Not Dead
Experian is the absolute worst when it comes to fixing inaccuracies. They want to keep their customers (not consumers -- the agencies reporting credit info) happy.
White House 'Tax Receipt' Shows Where Your Tax Dollars Are Being Spent
This was supposed to be in response to someone above, but I got a 500 error, and then it posted at the bottom of the page instead of in the right comment thread. Grr.
White House 'Tax Receipt' Shows Where Your Tax Dollars Are Being Spent
I grossed about $38,000, too, except I paid $7,500 in taxes because I am self-employed. I had to stop working outside the house when my lupus became unpredictable. I have great days, when you'd never know I had a health problem, and then I have days where just walking to the bathroom exhausts me. I kept missing work and having to quit jobs after just a few months (tarnishing my employment history), so I decided to work from home so I can work around my flares. I'm doing okay income-wise, but I am really paying for it in taxes.

FedEx Punishing Me For Delivering Package Addressed To My Neighbor, Claims It Was Mine
Someone from the USPS is going to see this message and see a money-making opportunity. "We'll charge people $1.95 to misdeliver their mail, creating plenty of opportunities for neighbors to interact and build good relationships!"
