@ Brent - exactly - if he'd been very still and jumping out, it would pretty much just be lacking Alan Funt.

J&J Has Paid Over $68.7 Million In Ortho Evra Lawsuits

@womynist: I went on the patch because I had gallstones - the pill is processed through the liver and can cause (more) gallstones, whereas the patch isn't processed through the liver. In addition, even though I took the pill at the exact same minute every day, I had spotting all the time.

I was on the patch for three years, I think? Between three and four. No real problems, until towards the end, when I started experiencing a reduced sex drive, which was no fun.

I seem to need slightly higher estrogen levels, though - the one time I was on a low estrogen pill, I got my period every two weeks, and became anemic in the six weeks I was on it.

There probably should have been more care taken in the indiscriminate prescribing of Ortho-Evra, since I don't think there's quite enough understanding of transdermal delivery as there should be. On the other hand, I was very grateful for it.

@LabanDenter: I think a lot of the less use of credit cards may be because they're maxed, unfortunately. My mom was getting sort of skeeved by the fact that, every time she was at Target, she saw someone get a credit card declined.

@GMFish: it can be a self-perpetuating problem, though. Server X assumes women are going to want to linger, and won't tip well. Server X spends much of the evening ignoring my friend and me, although I am attempting to burn holes in Server X with my eyes, because I want to order something more, or I want the check. I *don't* tip Server X well, because Server X acted like a dick to me. (I tip minimum 20-25% on good service, and will tip more when I make more money.)

@Griff431: unless you enjoy mocking and lacking at overpriced products that seem to edge over the line into poor taste.

I think far too many people are implying that Chris Walters is out to start a letter-writing campaign, as opposed to saying, "what the fuck?"

it's like this halloween costume - is it inappropriate and crossing into poor taste? Probably. Is it one of the most hilariously awful things I've ever seen, and I look it up every year, like a bizarre Halloween tradition? Yes. May it never, ever go off the market - [www.amazon.com]

I am amused by scatological humor as much as, if not more than, the next person, but, what the hell? huh?

Also, because I'm incapable of *not* over-analyzing (heh...anal) most television commercials - were the only two women in that commercial a little on the fuller-figured side, while the men ran the spectrum? Is the implication that thin women don't fart?

@GothamGal: Atlanta is one of the most suburban-sprawled cities I've ever seen - I grew up down there, and towns that used to be way out in the boonies are suddenly considered to be suburbs. As an administrative assistant, she may not be able to afford much closer to Atlanta, and living in Dacula, I don't know if there are many jobs that much closer to home that don't involve a Hardee's uniform (I apologize if Dacula has turned into a thriving metropolis since the 1990s). You go where the work is - it's that way in most of the country, from what I can tell.
