HSN Breaks TV, Showing Need To Firmly Attach Your Wii Accessories

@Cant_stop_the_rock: I find it barely acceptable to have to attach the stupid nunchuk controller - and that piece is a requirement for some games. Why the hell would I take the time to attach a plastic ring that vaguely resembles a ping pong paddle to play tennis? In this case, that 'accessories' package is not a feature, it's a bug (especially since we see that they don't connect securely and can destroy your tv).

@hi: I got the h1n1 spray vaccine this week. Guess what I won't get this winter? The flu.

That Perez Hilton lost all his sidekick data almost makes this whole thing worthwhile.

One of the odd elements of this flu is that some people (up to 50% in chile) don't get a fever. Something to do with the body's reaction to one of the avian mutations. What I can't seem to find is info that states whether no fever means you're in less danger if you DO have the flu.

@RomeoCharlie:
A burnout is not a car overcoming the brakes - it is the engine torque overcoming the frictional coefficient of the tires and the ground. If the car overcame its brakes, a burnout wouldn't be a burnout - instead you'd see the car moving forward while hearing horrible scraping and grinding noises. Seriously, how do people not understand this?

@treimel: Yes, but why didn't the 911 dispatcher tell him to rock it into neutral? That's the first thing I would have done. then, parking brake.

FirstEnergy Forces Light Bulbs On Customers For $10.80 Each

@Snarkysnake: I wouldn't have been quite so harsh, but I agree in principle. The problem with most of the proposals in legislation like Cap n' trade is that they force the utilities to pass the cost onto consumers. Hey, at least FirstEnergy is giving their customers something in exchange for the rate hike. They could have simply hiked prices and said "F#$k you very much".

@pecan 3.14159265: If you like Top Chef, you'll love the Next Iron Chef. The caliber of talent is far superior, and there is plenty of drama. and the challenges are INSANE. I love it (especially compared to this season's top chef snoozefest).

@Tightlines: What exactly do the free money finance blogger's religious beliefs have to do with Consumerist's blanket generalization (which was obviously a joke) about America's tv habits? GMFish is too sensitive, and you're too judgmental. In other words, par for the course in the comments section.
