Don't Fall For These Gas Saving Myths

Actually cars DO need to warm up. Ever notice that when you start a car when it is cold the engine revs higher? That is because a series of computer controlled events is happening, namely the engine has activated a cold start valve in the fuel injection system. This valve will directly inject a lot of gas into your engine until it has reached a set temp. If you start your car and then go drive, the cold air going over the radiator will delay it reaching the temperature required to turn off the cold start valve....therefore...USING MORE GAS!
