these are essentials that I need. The most important was the relaxers and black hair care products. If I didn't go to my hood to get this stuff i would have to go to my local walgreens or eckards and they had a pitiful selection and it was all over priced. I was pleasantly surprised to find the products I use in a walmart on the North Shore of Long Island (ie: the gold coast) that were cheaper than the relaxers they sell at the hair care stores down on wall street by my office (there are quite a few stores down there that cater to black women and their hair needs but unfortunately you are followed around the entire time under the assumption that you are going to steal something which keeps me from shopping there).

hair relaxer, cat food, body lotion, cat litter, light bulbs, a dvd, etc etc. A GE lightbulb is a GE lightbulb, Fresh step cat litter is fresh step cat litter. Its being consumed at that moment or will be in the short run.

that and sarcasm dont translate in text. If there weren't people out there that legitimately thought and felt this way then maybe I would have picked up on it, but unfortunately too many knuckleheads put personal responsibility on someone else. My bad

As a NY'r, growing up in harlem then moving to Long Island then BK I have to say I loved shopping at Wal Mart in East Setauket. Everything there was so much cheaper than what I pay at Duane Reade, CVS, Rite Aid or the local pharmacy (unless I was shopping on 125th street). I would get my oil changed there when I didnt want to change it myself, I could get my lotions, hair care products, items for my apartment, cat food, guinea pig food and snacks and not blow out my savings account. I have to look out for my bottom line because at the end of the day thats all I care about.

Instead of lying to them and now possibly giving them a life long fear of clowns why don't you just tell them no?

I made sauteed shrimp and garlic in olive oil and plain pasta. It was a quick meal i made at midnight on Friday because I was starving. exactly 12 hrs later I was sick as a dog, nothing else was in my system. Everything was made fresh and I highly doubt the pasta did it (or the garlic)
