Saving Money With An Entertainment Book

The entertainment book for my area is fantastic, my wife and I discovered it a few years ago and we buy them all the time now. They pay for themselves with 2 or 3 visits to a restaurant, and at least the one here has a lot of restaurants that are really good. We've also found that the movie tickets are a great value.

What one poster said is good to keep in mind though, don't buy something just because you have a coupon. Thats not much of a saving.

When Will Casey Serin Pay For Embodying The Worst Of The Housing Bubble Burst?

"aren't you just enabling him further"

Who cares? Let him think that this attention will save his troubles, it certainly won't. Then the crash will be all the more spectacular. Heck, he could be blogging from jail before long, that'd be great.

The cited article has a link to his Flickr page. He has 499 photos in his photostream. That means he is paying cf. $25 a month to pay for the 'pro' service, on top of everything else. He probably will close the book deal, but even that won't clear out all his debts, bankruptcy or not.

He's definitly designed everything to draw in attention, stir up buzz, and try to cash in on it. But he probably thought he would be able to "flip" the 8 houses at first, and is using this as a hairbrained backup 'plan'. From the flick photos, I almost get the impression that Jamba Juice is paying him, or maybe he is just hoping to get them to pay him.

The funny thing is that this guy is what they call a 'credit criminal', but he's STILL able to get tons of credit. It just shows how pointless all the hurdles are that they make people go through.

You can even see that his credit score drops nearly 300 points in less than a year, but he's still getting credit.

Man, train wrecks sure are intersting.

Can't Advertise Milk As Weight-Loss Aid, FTC Says

There's a reason why babies drink milk, it's good for you. People are strating to look at milk as something that is 'bad for you' because it has fats in it, which really just shows how out of whack everyone's ideas about health are, when they start thinking milk is unhealthy.

If Your Contractor Doesn't Pay The Sub-Contractors, You Can Find Them Coming After You

The system isn't really all that stupid. You hired a dude to do work, he, as your hire, got other people to do the work. You are the top level here, so of course your house has to be part of the collateral. Seems like it would be fair to at least require that the subs have to sue the contractor first though, rather than jump a level. But the overall rationale here seems to be, you started the work, it was for your benefit, therefore its your mess. If the subs don't get paid by the contractor, you need to pay them or force the contractor to pay them.

The kickers here are that first this poor guy buys it, and then MS comes out with a warranty extension, but only for ones purchased just after he purchased his. Then his breaks right after the warranty expires. Then he sends it to someone to repair, but THEN he's told, 'sure, we'll fix it', but its too late now, because the seal was broken. Bad luck all around. And this for someone who showed enough 'brand loyalty' that he purchased the unit right when it was first being offered.

Box Cutter Found On United Airlines Flight Causes Delay

I'd think it rather sensible to delay the flight if there is a blade found on board. The 911 hijackers apparently only had boxcutters, and no one fought back against them. Planes since 911 have been hijacked in different parts of the world, and the passengers didn't storm the hijackers en mass.

Especially since this was only a two hour delay. Heck, they delay flights for 12 hours if its too rainy.

And, again, there are laws that require, for example, the peopel processing your film to review it, and turn you in if there is a crime depicted in it, as with child porn. Extending this to computer techs isn't much of a stretch.

Hasbro And Visa Pervert LIFE Board Game To Train Children In Racking Up Credit Card Debt

Commented by Nygdan:

There's definitly a problem with this. People learn to recognize brands at an extremely early age. Putting out a game like this will certainly result in more visa cards being out there, as this generation that played this game grows up.

Its not a problem in the specifics, its that it sets the context for these kids that its 'normal' to use a credit card to pay for everything.

They also check every photograph that you bring to get developed anywhere. Its the law in most states, heck it might even be a federal law. In fact, some states are already starting to require computer techs to do this, or at least providing them 'witness' like protections.

@ Hossofcourse,
WTF does him having an indian surname have to do with him thinking its okay to have child pornography? Indian culture is, if anything, less accepting of pornography in the first place. Probably a stupid idea for you to slander an entire people like that.
