Teenager Says TSA Screeners Are Responsible For Breaking $10K Insulin Pump
My cousin wears one just like this, too. She travels once a month to visit her BF and has never had an issue. She has refused the scanners every time in lieu of a pat down and has yet to encounter one TSA agent who gives her attitude about it.
However, I know that this is a YMMV situation and it all depends on who the TSA agent is and how well trained (or nice) they are.
People Realize Chicken Thighs Taste Good, Now Cost Same As Breasts
I just went grocery shopping today (Raleigh, NC). Both were on sale (bone-in, skin-on), with the Thighs costing 99-cents a pound and the breasts costing $1.29 a pound. So, yeah, they're getting close.
However, the leg quarters were only 50-cents a pound, so that's what I went for.
Man Pleads Guilty To Selling Booze To Underage Customer Even Though Video Footage Shows He Didn't
In a free and democratic society, confessions and admissions of guilt should be banned/illegal. If a person is guilty, and wants to help "convict" himself by giving up the evidence needed for his conviction, so be it, but a confession should ALWAYS be inadmissible in court due to the nature of coercion.
Does it make it more difficult/costly to prosecute people? Of course it does! That's the point!
Report: Debt Collectors Work In Emergency Rooms, Demand Payment Before Patients Receive Care
Exactly! Doctors and nurses that are not assigned to you cannot look at your file, even if they work in the same hospital where you are being treated, because of HIPPA, but these clowns have access?
Tips For Anyone Thinking Of Taking AT&T To Small Claims Court
Uh, go to a different county? Nothing states that it must be filed in your own county. Go to the other county, use your phone there while throtled, and then you can legally file there.
Beware Of Identity Thieves Filing Fraudulent Tax Returns To Steal Your Refund
This happened to me two years in a row (due to wifey's investment manager getting us her paperwork late, like in April late). They withheld my refund and wouldn't even tell me why.
This year, the IRS sent me a letter with a 6-digit PIN and stated that I needed to use it when filing electronically to prove I'm me. This is great, but the letter specifically read that I wouldn't need it if I filed by snail-mail. I hope the dumbarse who tried to steal my identity two years in a row isn't mailing it in (but I should still get my refund when I e-file with my PIN).
Have You Gotten A Text From AT&T Warning You About Your Data Usage?
I received my notice at 2.1GB. I normally use 1.7ish a month, but it really spiked when I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.01 (the 2.1 GBs were used in the first 7 days of my cycle). I've since turned off iCloud and a few other things and am now sitting at 3.5 GB used with 8 days left in my cycle, which is still abit high at 1.4GB in 14 days, but it's not as bad as the first week after upgrading.
Court Says It's Fine That Telecommunications Companies Collaborated With Federal Wiretaps
"Another ruling yesterday also decided that legal immunity was necessary for private companies helping the government gather intelligence, because if those telecoms thought they might be prosecuted, they'd be less likely to help with the whole spying thing."
Uh, that's the idea...
Irene Knocked My Neighbor's Tree On My Deck, But He's Run Away From His Foreclosure
Not true. I just went through this with my insurance about a year ago, when one of my trees fell on my neighbor's deck. The tree was diseased, but the condition only matters IF the affected party complains to the property owner.
For example, had my neighbor came to me and said, "Your tree looks diseased and I think it's unsafe," then my insurance would've had to cover his damage. However, since my neighbor never came to me with any concerns about the tree, the damages were paid by his insurance company.
Same thing here. If the OP hadn't complained to his neighbor, even if he were still living in the house, then it's still the OPs Insurance who has to pay.

Should Pizza Be Classified As A Vegetable? Crusading Lawmaker Thinks Not
Is it an Animal? Is it a Mineral? If the answer to both of these are no, then it HAS to be a Vegetable.
