I've always been pretty happy with my wireless service, and even the customer service is helpful when they screw up my bilI every month.
DSL, on the other hand, is apparently run by a whole different group of people. It's not at all worth your time, I don't care what kind of discount they offer.
Charter Communications Rep Says Cable Companies Taking Over All Streaming Video On May 1st
Bad luck for you. I canceled my cable and two years later when I moved out, it was still live.
Pointing A Gun At People In Public Is Not Good Viral Marketing
To refute said bit of trite wisdom, I refer you to the case of Tiger Woods. Reckon the added publicity he received was a net positive?
Marketers who actually believe such statements are the cause of the problem. Which marketing firm do you work for? (note for the mentally impaired: I don't really want to know. Please don't spam me.)
Blippy: "We Take Security Seriously"
Any response from them that doesn't include "... and of course we're paying for free credit monitoring for those affected" is a lame response, indeed.
Of course, I don't know what you expected from a site that thinks it's a good idea to be the foursquare of purchases. I bet they were all over the Facebook Connect thing, too.
Surely a service that accidentally exposes credit card data to Google is savvy enough to repel hackers, right? Anyone want to drive by Blippy's office building and scan for an open wireless access point?

Just wait until you get put in a high risk insurance category because you joined the wrong Facebook group or talked about some movie that other high risk people tend to prefer.
Remember, when they also wanted to get information from other websites about stuff you bought there?
Facebook Used To Make Partners Delete Your Data After 24 Hrs. No Longer.
It's not the issue of data sharing, it's the issue of changing the policy after people have already joined. Yes, kids should know that the stranger doesn't really have candy in his van, but that doesn't excuse the guy.

The New York Times Doesn't Want You Accessing Its RSS Feed Via An RSS Feed Reader
Even more stupid is the idea that RSS is about making a site's content look good. RSS is for taking bunches of sites and presenting them in a unified, minimally-styled interface than you can scan rapidly. It's the opposite of what that picture above shows, not that I would expect the target market for the ipad to understand this, of course.
