Shampooing Every Time You Shower? It May Be Too Much
I read a report about a UK member of parliament [conservative at that] who had not washed his hair with shampoo for more than 10 years becuase some scientist said the who industry is basically a scam.
So I tried it. After the six weeks he said it takes to adjust I was fine. I haven't shampooed my hair for over 19 months [I wash it with water every day]. I use conditioner when I get it cut and thats it. My hair is fine - I have less dandruff than when I used shampoo. And I am not ripped off by what is basically another beauty fraud!
Cascade Beer Drinkers Defeat Grocery Shrink Ray
Hey,
The company is fosters but the beer is Cascade - which is a great Tasmanian brew.
And if you think Fosters is bad where you are, remember it has been reformulated. You can strip paint with the Aussie version.

Sprint Asking Employees To Please Pink Slip Themselves
Hey,
I take it the US has no concept called 'voluntary redundancy'.
They ofter take place before manditory redundancies.
The company (or govt agency) asks for volunteers from people who would be happy to leave [with redundancy payment]. They usually have a target number/locations etc that they announce.
If undersubscribed then they usually have a following round on the not so voluntary redundancies.
I worked Fed gov in OZ and they had a funny version of the manditory redundancies - the swap. Redundancies were always oversubscribed in one state and undersubscribed in aother. So you could swap. one of the oversubscribers would swap positions with the people in another state who ten moved to take that persons job.
Trust me - asking for colunteers before pushing is a good thing.

University Launches Free Financial Education Website
Wow,
Why is the university having to do this. Why not get government to realise that consumer education leads to better handling of money and less problems for government to deal with.
A site like:
Run by the feds[ours not yours] with targetted units for educators, women and others with milestone calculators et al. It is valid for most non-Australians [superannuation btw means pension for the rest of you]
