Organic Crime: The Raw Milk Underground

FDA is their own worst enemy. The problems come from the fact it is illegal so sometimes it is some guy making cheese in his basement.

On its own and produced by reputable sources, raw milk from grass fed cows is healthy.

It's the megafarms that introduce disease and the need for high doses of antibiotics.

It's also very simple to make you own pink candy hearts. Craft stores or baking/candy supply stores sell everything you need and it's very easy.

McDonald's And Food Network: Subliminal Advertising?

Food Network stopped being about food and all about celebrity chefs a couple of years ago. It's the same time the quality of the shows dropped.

Similar thing happened to TLC. It became more about the personalities and less about the learning. Because really, I like Miami Ink but what I am really learning (besides don't get a tattoo from Yoji)?

Not only cheap and easy, fresh herbs taste so much better than dried.

Even if you don't have a yard or a lot of space, growing vegetables in a container is easy. I've grown tomatoes, jalapenos, habaneros, basil, chives, assorted herbs, strawberries, cucumbers, and more in containers on a deck throughout the years. You just have to make sure you get the variety that can handle growing in a container.

Kraft Lawsuit: Capri Sun Isn't "All Natural"

In any case, "natural" doesn't automatically mean "good" - lots of bad things are "natural"
So very, very true. Those all natural mushroom burgers you can buy have more in common with the mold you see on cheese than what you picture a mushroom looking like.

I know I'm new here but how is this a "consumer" issue and not something for a potential Gawker food blog?

Starbucks Removes Trans Fats, What?

Commented by CookiesEtc:

Yes, most baked items have fats in them (shortening, butter, vegetable oil, etc). Trans fats, being cheap, get used a lot. It's also a reason 'natural flavoring' is used. Oh, and I believe margarine also has trans fats so if you got suckered into the margarine is healthier than butter thing, ha ha, wrong!

Reformulating recipes means they spent a lot of time trying to find another cheap alternative to butter (probably) which required other flavor additives to maintain the flavor profile so many tastings and focus groups were needed.
