Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year, I can't begin to imagine working it. I grew up in Detroit and that always meant the parade (now I live just across the river from NYC so I'll go to the Macy's parade) and the Lions game and feasting like a big fat Pilgrim. I'm so glad there are football games on in the evening of Turkey Day now so my day or corpulence can be complete with pumpkin pie casserole at 9pm.
On Black Friday I cheer for fisticuffs on line at 3am waiting for a Wii to be reported on Consumerist.

I detest the television advertising. It simply lies to your face about the products, makes you try to feel like YOU are the problem for not snapping it up, and I'd say over the last five to 7 years the guilt driven messages behind these ads has really gotten not just pushy but disgusting.
I also hate how ANYTHING now is Christmas present material. A new Lexus, a home alarm system, plane tickets, diamonds, meat sticks, new windows for the home and on and on and on and on....

take it from an expert on this, these sudden accelerations and in some cases engine hesitations while trying to merge are at least 4 years old and go back to the roll out of the Toyota 'drive-by-wire' transmissions.
Toyota has known for quite some time things aren't right but knew their halo would let them skip by without addressing it (like the engine sludge issue of the late 80's and early to mid-90's).
