@irs: photoshop is a wonderful thing
As far paying credit card bills in person on the due date goes, it didn't really work that way for me. I went to my local Chase branch to pay a bill on the day it was due, and despite being drawn on an account at the bank, going to the bank, it showed as late.
Luckily, I called customer support and they forgave the late fee/credit ding, so all was well.
@Mr_D: Then it wasn't really due on that date, was it? They forgave it because they got called on it.
Fixing Five Painful Financial Screw-Ups
Wow...what an article.
1. Need to pay a bill fast? Pay over the phone, online or set up auto-payments.
2. Back taxes? File your return
3. Car Insurance Risks? Find a better policy
4. Student loan payments late? Actually send them money, they work with you.
5. Parking Ticket? Pay it on time or watch out.
Wow...thanks Kiplinger dot com...that was some sweet advice....
This, by far, is the worst post on this Blog....ever.
Hey WSJ, did it ever occur to you to actually LINK to the website you spend the entire article discussing? [www.irs.gov]
