Man Arrested After Allegedly Going On Fast Food Robbery Spree At Dunkin’ Donuts, McDonald’s, And White Castle

Visiting more than one fast food joint in a single day isn’t unheard of, but robbing three restaurants and attempting to rob a fourth in one day isn’t so common. But that’s exactly what police in Chicago say a man did earlier this week.

DNAinfo.com reports that the 32-year-old man allegedly pretended to have a gun while robbing a local McDonald’s, Dunkin’ Donuts and White Castle and attempting to rob a Subway restaurant on Tuesday.

Police officials say the man, who was recently paroled after serving time for eight unrelated robberies, kicked off his spree at around 2:40 a.m. when he walked into a local Dunkin’ Donuts.

Prosecutors tells DNAinfo that the man allegedly told the cashier he would blow her head off if she didn’t provide him with cash from the register.

According to court records, the man pointed his hand through the pocket of his hoodie to suggest he had a gun and made off with $256 in cash.

The man continued his fast food robbery binge by stopping at a Mcdonald’s restaurant around 8:20 a.m.

Prosecutors say the man told an employee to “give me all the money or I’ll blast your ass.” The man once again pretended to have a gun and took $521 in cash.

Subway was the next stop on the man’s journey at around 9:40 a.m. However, authorities say his robbery attempt at the sandwich shop was not successful.

Several hours later at 10 p.m., authorities say the man walked into a White Castle and demanded the clerk hand over money from the register. When the employee asked if the man was serious, he allegedly jumped over the counter and took $401.

Employees at White Castle told police the man was driving a small red car with a missing rear bumper. About 15 minutes after the robbery, police spotted the vehicle and arrested the man.

The Assistant State’s Attorney tells DNAinfo that the man told police he had been smoking weed and crack and ran out of money.

Arrest records show the man was charged with aggravated robbery while indicating a firearm and attempted aggravated robbery while indicating a firearm. He is currently being held without bail.
