Sometimes all you need is a little more sauce. But somehow a simple request for extra condiments turned into a heated situation with a gun at an Ohio Chinese restaurant.

There are two sides to the story, of course: The Smoking Gun cites a police report where a teenage customer says he simply asked a cashier for some more packets of soy sauce to go with his takeout order at the Dayton eatery.

An argument ensued between him and the 40-year-old cashier, and the teen says that’s when the man took a handgun out of a holster on his belt and held it against his chest, while “yelling frantically” and waving the Smith & Wesson handgun around.

Police arrived on the scene and took a Smith & Wesson handgun from the worker as well as three magazines of ammo, all of which he kept on his belt.

The worker told police during questioning however, that the teen was “rude” and had threatened to have him “jumped” over the soy sauce dispute.

He reportedly admitted to shoving the gun into the customer’s chest and said that he replied, “Go ahead and do it” after the purported threat.

He was arrested for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor, and booked into the Montgomery County jail.
