So you try out some app or game anonymously and it seems great. Then you authorize it, and suddenly it’s doing things with your information that it couldn’t do when you were using it anonymously.

How is that helpful to users?

Facebook should offer true transparency by using a test or John Doe account and letting you see what an app or game does with your information, maybe even showing you in a pop-up every time an app or game accesses or uses your information, and once you’re OK with it, you can mute those notifications.
