Police: Teens Suspected Of Shoplifting Had Fetus In Shopping Bag

Police in New York City say they made a shocking find after responding to the scene of what appeared to be another routine call. A security guard allegedly spotted two teens snagging lingerie yesterday afternoon at a Victoria’s Secret store and got the police involved. Cops say they then found a fetus in the plastic shopping bag of one of the girls.

According to sources cited by the New York Daily News, security guards detected a strong odor while conducing a search of the girls’ bags. They then discovered the fetus in a black plastic bag that was inside another bag and covered with the allegedly stolen lingerie.

One of the girls, a 17-year-old who is already the mother to a healthy son, said she’d suffered a miscarriage the day before.

“She said she didn’t know what to do,” the source said.

She was wheeled out of the store in a wheelchair before police took her to Bellevue Hospital.

Police took over the 50,000 square foot store to conduct their investigation while customers apparently kept on shopping.

Both teens were charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
