Chick Fil-A Franchisees, Bridal Store Owner, Designer Team Up To Help Bride Who Lost Dress In Tornado

6C7839352-tdy-130612-meganacordfirstdress.blocks_desktop_mediumWhen the owners of a Chick fil-A franchise in Oklahoma found out that one of their employees had lost her wedding dress to the tornado that recently tore a path of devastation through Moore, OK, they decided to do something about it. But their one phone call set off a chain reaction of niceness.

According to Today.com, the bride had been storing her dress at her father’s so that her groom wouldn’t stumble upon it before the ceremony. But then the tornado leveled her dad’s home, and the dress is long gone.

The most important thing is that her father wasn’t hurt, but she was still out one bridal gown. That’s when her bosses at the fast food chain reached out to BeLoved Bridal in Norman, OK, saying they wanted to buy a dress for the bride.

The owner of BeLoved took it a step further, calling a dress designer in Australia, Stella York, who said the bride could have any one of her dresses at the store for free.

And so one of the bride’s friends took her to “lunch,” which was really a surprise visit to BeLoved, where she found what she says is her “dream dress.”

“I started crying because I felt so blessed and thankful,” she tells Today.com, saying that once word got around the area, she’s since been offered a free cake and free photography for her ceremony in August.

“I have had so many people come up to me and say ‘This is the story I really needed to hear,’” she says. “I know people need to hear something positive.”
