Want To Go To Disney World For The Day? That’ll Be $95. Yes, Just For You. No, That’s Not A Joke.

Over the weekend, the anthropomorphic mice-that-be at Disney greedily rubbed their four-fingered hands together and raised prices on tickets to both Disneyland and Disney World, where it will now cost an adult $95 just to step through the gates at the Magic Kingdom.

The price of a one-day pass for an “adult” — anyone at least 10 years of age — to the Magic Kingdom jumped from $89 to $95 on Sunday. Tickets for kids ages 3 through 9 is now up to $89 for this park.

If you’re a bargain-hunter, you can stick to EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, or Disney Hollywood Studios, where one-day adult tickets go for the bottom-dollar price of $90, and younger kids basically get in for free at only $84 each.

Meanwhile, over in California, prices also went up at Disneyland, where a one-day pass for an adult increased from $87 to $92, and kids graduated from $82 to $86.

According to USA Today, this is the first time that Disney has charged different prices for admission to Disneyland and Disney World.

Obviously, prices for multiple-day passes are less-expensive on a per-day basis — 5-day adult passes to Disney World average $57.80/day for adults and $54/day for kids — but not everyone can afford the time or money (or aggravation) to take advantage of that discount. Also, it’s worth noting that these prices, and the prices of annual passes, have also increased since June 1.
