Worst Company In America Round 2: Sallie Mae Vs. Ticketmaster

WCIA2013HEADERticketmastersallie
No better way to ruin a good Friday afternoon than to bring up two companies people simply hate giving their money to. Thankfully, only one of these bad businesses will survive.

We knew people didn’t like Sallie Mae going into its First Round match, but didn’t think it stood a chance against WCIA mainstay PayPal. And yet, the company that screws up everyone’s student loan payment managed to beat out the company that won’t refund anyone’s eBay purchase in a narrow 53-47 showdown.

But does Sallie have enough momentum to take frequent Final Four finisher Ticketmaster?

The fee-happy ticket seller earned a respectable 64-36 opening round victory against credit bureau Equifax. But is taking down 1/3 of the credit reporting biz enough practice to go up against the trillion-dollar mountain of student loan debt and the company charged with collecting a good chunk of it?

Before you slip out of work for a three margarita lunch, you should probably vote.

VOTING FOR THIS POLL IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATS TO TICKETMASTER FOR ADVANCING TO THE QUARTERFINALS!
